~No Rules Volleyball for the Volleyball player who gets tired
of the many technical rules of volleyball.
Full Contact just means that occasionally we sometimes hit the
net, and it isn't a big deal. ~No harm no foul. We also have plenty of contact
with the ground. Now we have river sand to cushion our fall. Occasionally we
bump into each other, again no big deal.
We changed the name from No Rules to ~No Rules since, we actually
have a few....
- Only Rules You must get it over the
net and it should be in bounds.
- If the ball hits the ground on your side... other team
gets to serve
- If the ball goes out and you hit it last... other team again gets the
ball
- If the ball hits the net on the serve... other team again gets the ball
- If the ball hits the fence it is out
- If the ball hits the pole it is out
- Using your head or feet is allowed
- A person can no longer hit the net!
- Everything else is just about up for
debate.
Some unofficial rules or axioms
- Two Hands We try not to lift the
ball, but sometimes it just happens. Who cares, we are only at this
for fun. No one remembers who won or lost next week.
Net? Well, there is a net, but you
don't have to worry about bumping into it or crashing into an opponent,
cause it isn't illegal.
- If the ball hits the tree... it is still in play
- If you catch it and can't lie your way out of it... other team gets it
- Someone is not allowed to keep score
- Someone cannot call when the ball was in or out
- Get on Danny's nerves and your team will win... if you aren't on
Danny's team
- Hit Bill in the face and he may bite you like a vampire would bite his
prey
- If you like your knees... Don't go for it... We aren't that competitive
- If the ball goes on the roof or in another yard... it is out
- Johnny is taller than he use to be... watch him on the net
- Charles is faster than he looks
- Bill still doesn't run backwards
- Manny is an Ass... especially when he picks on Danny
- Andy's reach is further than it appears
- Nicole makes a cute bunny
Don't worry if you feel weak, old or uncoordinated, all are welcome. Come
have some fun and get in some good digs.... You are free to pick on whoever you
want. No one is that outstanding that you have to fear us.
